In 2014, Slow Food St. Louis created the Food Loop Farm Directory, a DIRECTORY OF FARMS AND PRODUCERS in the St. Louis foodshed. We feel that by creating a directory of farmers and defining their agricultural practices we can add significant value to locally produced foods and motivate end consumers to support local farmers with their food dollars.
Want to learn more about your local foodshed? The Missouri Coalition for the Environment designed a MAP of Regional Farms.
Slow Food St. Louis is a proud supporter of Known & Grown.
Known & Grown STL vets and promotes local, environmentally-responsible farmers within 150 miles of St. Louis. Known & Grown farmers don’t use synthetic chemicals on their crops or confine their animals. View a complete list of Known & Grown standards here. Here’s a map showing locations of where to buy Known & Grown products.
If you are a farmer within 3 1/2 hours of Saint Louis and you sell your own products in our metropolitan area (or would like to expand to Saint Louis), email admin@slowfoodstl.org to be added to the directory.
