Slow Food St. Louis Garlic Project will present a class on the harvesting and curing of garlic. Garlic Farmer Jerry Vyskala will explain when to harvest softneck and hardneck and how to cure and store the harvested garlic. Jerry and his wife are originally from the Czech Republic. Their Garlic farm is located along the Big Piney River where they have successfully grown many varieties of garlic. Every year their harvest of garlic sells out fast. There is more information at their website: mogarlicfarm.com.
You do not have to be a garlic grower or a participant in the Slow Food Garlic Project to attend. There will be plenty of time for questions.
