But it really is magical.
The Aztecs believed a character named Quetzalcóatl literally came down from heaven with a cacao plant as a gift to mankind. And when you see how and where it grows you would believe it’s not of this planet.
But the process of making chocolate is even more wondrous, with more than a dozen steps where things can go sideways. When done right, and well, they all lead to the magical chocolate we get to enjoy, right here on Planet Earth.
Participants will taste some single origin chocolates as well as some of Kakao’s own creations, and join a discussion about chocolate and biodiversity and other aspects of Slow Food. A portion of the proceeds goes to Slow Food St. Louis.
You can bring your own wine and other beverage (no other outside food). Other than that, just bring your appetite and love of chocolate!
Parking is on the street, or in the strip mall lot across the street.
