The Slow Food Negroni Week Fund is providing direct support to global projects that support and promote quality food and beverages while helping preserve cultural and biological diversity and elevate consumer education and knowledge exchange.
Grant Activities and Updates
Grant Kickoff
August 21 was the kickoff meeting with the grant recipients and the Slow Food Negroni Week Grant team. It was held at the Turn Restaurant, hosted by Chef David Kirkland. All grant recipients got a chance to learn more about the details of the grant, procedures, and expectations. After the meeting, everyone got a chance to get better acquainted on the rooftop garden above the restaurant. Recipients went home with a variety of supplies depending on their needs.

Grant Recipient Get Training
An integral part of our grant program is providing training and assistance to our grant recipients to apply for additional, more extensive grants. We held a workshop in collaboration with the LUCE ISFOP and the University of Missouri Extension horticulture program on the Farmer/Rancher grant through the USDA’s Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) division.
