VIP Cooking Class with Ana Carolina Pires McGinn @ Online

In this class, I will share one of my family secret recipes, a traditional Brazilian Style Meal: rice, beans, veggies, meat, & salad.

Olá (hi), I am a home and personal chef and I enjoy sharing my love for good food every chance I have. Being born and raised in Brazil, in my house homemade food was a way of life. Now, as a mom of a multicultural family I learned how to combine the best of many cultures to attend the needs and wishes of my family and clients (gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian etc). Brazilians are known for eating fresh and homemade meals using rice and beans. These two are a favorite in many homes of Brazil, no matter what part of it you go. That is also true for many Brazilian homes around the world, including mine. In this class I am going to share some of my family secrets in how to prepare a traditional Brazilian Style Meal: rice, beans, veggies, meat, salad. This meal is a great option for pleasing many different food preferences (from kids to adults). Because each dish is mostly plant based and served separately, vegans, vegetarians, carnivores, gluten-free and picky eaters can enjoy this meal at the same time without the need of making different meals at once. BONUS: if you have any leftovers, I will share some simple and easy ideas on how to use them to create other delicious meals. Meet you in the kitchen!

Ana Carolina was born and raised in Brazil where as a little girl she fell in love with the magic of the delicious scents, flavors and textures of the meals, medicines and dishes created by her mom, avó (grandmother) and bisa (great grandmother) in their kitchen. She grew up to be a lover of cooking good and clean food and a believer that with simplicity and access to knowledge, every family can create and enjoy a good, clean and fair meal. The principles and values of Slow food were a part of Ana’s life long before she became a board member of the Saint Louis chapter. With a major in Hospitality and Tourism and more than 10 years of experience in this industry, a certification in Simplicity Parenting Coaching, a home-based personal cook service, and love and devotion for her husband and children, family life and the community it is with ease that she is able to create innovative and simple solutions to help people and organizations become more balanced and successful together. Ana uses her uplifting personality to build community and spread the magic of Slow Fooding wherever she goes, especially spreading this magic by sharing her very own delicious and healing foods from scratch and from her own kitchen. She believes that Slow Food is for everyone and it starts at home, just like it happened with her in her grandma’s garden and kitchen more than 30 years ago and still does today, but now at Ana’s kitchen and garden with her own kids and husband.
